Luanna is motivated by bringing accessible climate resources to diverse audiences.
Luanna DeJesus’ experience in the marketing sector of the entertainment industry prepared her to support powerful messages of climate awareness in her work at Probable Futures. After several years working in entertainment production in Los Angeles, Luanna felt moved to further explore sustainability and philanthropy, looking to make a positive impact on the world.
Now, as Executive Assistant to Founder Spencer Glendon and Executive Director Alison Smart, Luanna helps streamline operations and increase productivity across Probable Futures. Luanna is excited to continue learning about our changing climate while contributing to Probable Futures’ mission of widespread climate literacy.
As a first-generation woman of color, Luanna is motivated by the need to make accessible resources available to diverse audiences and is encouraged by the tangible difference those resources can make in people’s lives. Climate change can be a daunting subject, but Luanna finds Probable Futures to be a fun, interesting, and easy way to learn, and an effective tool for sparking adaptation and mitigation action.
Luanna holds an associate’s degree from the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising in Los Angeles and lives with her cat, Marco, in Southern New Hampshire. Outside of her work with Probable Futures, Luanna is an avid reader and writer, and has recently taken up ice skating. While she’s working to bring the message of the climate crisis to a broader community, Luanna is also waiting for her chance to appear on Jeopardy and show off her trivia skills.
