Hamid Samandari

Hamid H. Samandari, Ph.D., is a Senior Partner Emeritus at McKinsey & Company, where he co-led the firm’s research and publications on climate risk and response (a collaboration with Woodwell Climate Research Center and Probable Futures), the financial and broader requirements for the net-zero transition, approaches to accelerating the energy transition, the preservation and replenishment of natural capital, and climate adaptation and resilience. Prior to that, Dr. Samandari helped co-found and lead McKinsey’s Risk Practice. He holds a doctorate in Computational Mathematics from Stanford University.
