Sierra’s early experiences growing up in a community affected by industrial pollution shaped her awareness of the environment and drew her to working on climate change. At Probable Futures, she contributes a creative and strategic approach to storytelling, drawing on her expertise in digital media and her foundation in sustainability communications.

In her role as Digital Media Specialist, Sierra plays a key role in Probable Futures’s digital presence. She is responsible for producing content across climate literacy offerings and communications. Sierra translates complex climate topics into digital experiences that help shift perspectives and create cultural change. Helping people connect emotionally and intellectually with the realities of climate change energizes Sierra and motivates her work. 

Sierra holds a B.A. in Media Studies from Pennsylvania State University. She is based in the Ann Arbor metropolitan area of Michigan, where she lives on a christmas tree farm with her husband, children, and small menagerie of pets. Outside of work, Sierra enjoys community theater, gardening, hiking, and creative writing.
