Nabig Chaudhry finds solace and clarity in the natural world.
Nabig’s early experiences of instability and displacement shaped his understanding of human and environmental systems. This perspective motivated his focus on climate change and his goals to strengthen resilience and ensure a future where both society and nature can thrive. Nabig’s interdisciplinary work on climate adaptation led him to Probable Futures, where he now applies his academic expertise to climate literacy efforts.
As Director of Climate Adaptation Strategy, he helps guide organizational vision and integrate adaptation strategy into Probable Futures offerings. Nabig’s daily work at Probable Futures involves research, product development, data analysis, and educational outreach. Leveraging experience across diverse subjects and methodologies, Nabig develops unique problem-solving strategies.
Nabig holds a B.A. in Sociology from Harvard University, an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School, an M.S. in Energy and Resources from the University of California, Berkeley, and is currently pursuing a Ph.D. focused on climate adaptation at the University of California, Berkeley. At Probable Futures, Nabig values the organization’s approach to problem-solving and the clear, insightful explanations of climate risk, stability, and complexity in the Climate Handbook.
Nabig was born in Pakistan, grew up in the Ozarks, and lives in New York City. He enjoys creating digital art, hiking, and spending time with friends and community. Outside of work, Nabig is trying to get better at cutting his own hair.
